Yay! I finally received the first order from the Sephora VIB sale. I place this order on the 12th and just now got it. I won't lie, I was getting pretty agitated at Sephora. I am sure we are all aware of the site not working properly, and then missing out on items. Plus I was getting aggravated that shipping my order was taking so long. I mean Sephora does this every year, so they should be prepared for the massive influx of orders. Well, they are back in my good graces because they changed my standard 3 day shipping to overnight air. So thank you, Sephora! Anyways, on to the good stuff. And be prepared for A LOT of pictures.
The first thing I went for was the Smashbox Double Exposure palette, which was a VIB exclusive and is now sold out. With this palette, you get 14 shadows that transform when applied wet and a deluxe sample of their Full Exposure Mascara. You get a beautiful array of neutrals and even a couple of jewel tones.
After reading rave reviews about the Marc Jacobs Sky-Liner Set, I decided that I needed to see what all of the fuss is about. This is the nicest, cutest set of mini-liners that I have ever seen. It would make a great gift for the beauty lover in your life. Or, you know, as a pick me up for yourself. Seven shades are included: O(vert), Brown(out), Sunset, Midnight in Paris, Th(ink), (Plum)age, and Blacquer.
I have been dying to try Lancome's Lip Lover Lip Perfectors, and with the Irresistible Lips set, you get three colors to choose from (and only one I can actually pronounce): Rose Attrape-Coeur, Lip Lover, and Framboise Etoile. All of the shades are gorgeous variations of pink and they feel wonderful on the lips. Sadly, they are mini's and not the full size. But I expect that they will still last a long time.
I don't own many blushes or highlighters, so I killed two birds with one stone by getting Becca's Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle in Lychee/Opal. The texture is incredibly smooth and blends amazingly. The color is great for my fair skin and gives the slightest flush to my cheeks.
In fact, all of the Beach Tint products seem lovely to me, so I didn't stop there. Sephora has a set with two beach tints in Raspberry and Grapefruit as well as two Eye Tints in Romanticism and Gilt. I'm normally all about products packed with pigment, but these seem perfect to apply for a day at school, home or running errands. A girl can't be completely dolled up all the time, after all. Alright, fine. That is a cop out. Some days I am just down right lazy.
A Sephora haul isn't a true Sephora haul unless you get something from Urban Decay, and I went with their Full Frontal Lipstick Stash. Talk about a beautiful collection of shades! This set is perfect for someone like me. I've wanted to try their Revolution lipsticks, but I could never decide on a shade. This set allows you to try 6 minis and Urban Decay's Ozone Lip Liner. The included shades are Ladyflower, Gash, Crush, Liar, F-Bomb, and Illicit. Yet another great gift idea.
Not to be outdone, Bite Beauty came up with some lovely and inexpensive gift options, too. For $12, you can get a Mix n Mingle Lip Mini. You can choose from a Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo, a Matte Creme Lip Crayon, or a Lush Fruit Lip Gloss. I went with a Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Aubergine. and 2 Lipstick Duos in Violet/Palomino and Scarlet/Poppy. With these choices, I get a bit of vampy with a bit of bright. And to top it all off, the packaging is adorable.
What did you haul during the VIB sale?
