Sephora has popped out some really good products, and this is one of them. I was in dire need of a good red lip liner. I did not want to spend a fortune on one and cheaper ones just did not have the color I wanted. Enter this lip liner. It is a nice mid-range product. Not as expensive as a department store brand, but better than some drugstore options. They have three shades of red, but I went with a shade called Sangria.
This has become one of the most used items in my stash. Granted I don't use it everyday, but I use it at least three times a week. Considering how picky I can be about lip products, that is pretty darn good. Maybe even unusual.
Sangria is a deep, brick red that pairs perfectly with darker, true reds. It is the darkest of the three reds Sephora offers. It applies very nicely and I don't have to do the dreaded "tug and pull" method. I use it by lining my lips then filling them in before applying my lipstick. It makes a significant difference in how long my lipstick stays on. It will not budge and no re-applications are needed. It can be teensy bit drying, but I have not had a problem with that. The color is nicely pigmented and one swipe will do. On one end, it does have a brush. I have only used it twice and think it is pretty crappy. I found it to be very stiff, which of course makes smudging/blending a hassle.
This isn't a must have product, but if you need a good lip liner and cannot find what you are looking for in the drugstore, try out the Sephora Retractable Liners. They are good quality without paying a ton of money. They are $13 at Sephora and Sephora.com.
