Review/Swatches: It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream – All 5 Shades

By Beautifulbuns

I thought I’d all but lost hope on CC creams – the ones coming out from Korean brands were highly moisturising, but didn’t give me the coverage I needed. Instead, I usually ended up looking like a giant disco ball with too-much dewiness. It Cosmetics will be available in Sephora soon, and Imma so glad their CC cream is pretty awesome!

I say…

The Packaging: A long tube measuring around 15cm long with a pump dispenser.

The Scent: A refreshing herbal scent.

The Texture: Rich, creamy, and glides over the skin so easily. Coverage is a medium-high level, covering majority of the major blemishes and some of the dark eye circles. The finish is natural enough, and doesn’t oxidise or get patchy. In fact, after a full work day and going to a full body massage, I actually emerged with this CC cream looking relatively unscathed –  yes, some of it did fade as the day went by, but I still managed to get comments of “that’s a pretty natural finish”. Because there’s some hydrating qualities to this product, I found that my skin wasn’t as dry looking as usual even after 6 hours in airconditioned interiors.

The Verdict: I’m actually pretty impressed with this CC cream! It gives good coverage with a natural finish, is a good balance of matte-dewy finish, doesn’t get patchy nor oxidise and stays on for a pretty long time. The texture is a major plus point – it literally glides over your skin super smoothly. I’m in between shades, but I find the mixing of Fair and Light to be rather therapeutic and fun! Now the owner/CEO (?) of this brand actually created her products to combat skin rosacea which she suffered from, so this does indeed help to cover redness. I’ve tried touching up on this at the end of the day with some of my BB cushions, and it seemed to be a buildable product, cos none of the new products I stacked on top ever caked, so yay! It may not be the newest product in the market, but at least now that it’s available in Singapore at Sephora (soon!), you can go try it fer yourself~
