The day has come! Ifinally got up close and personal with the delectable, the delicious, the yummylicious, the scrumpdidilious and hunkilicious Godfrey Gao yesterday! -swoons and shrieks uncontrollably- And what’s more,I had a personal interview session! Muahahahha. In commemoration of him, here’s an SK-II product review (somewhat overdue, I admit).

The Packaging: Anything with a pump system automatically gets a plus point in my books, simply because of the convenience as well as the hygiene factor. It comes in a petite little bottle (which is fine, since it takes forever to finish any eye product anyway – I still haven’t finished my Sulwhasoo TimeTreasure Eye Cream zomg).
The Scent: No scent here. Not that it really matters though. Having a scented eye cream means that the addition of fragrances, which may/may not be that good for the sensitive area around the eye.
The Formulation: From the name, you can probably deduce that it contains / has a similar formulation of their famed miracle water aka the Facial Treatment Essence (with lots of Pitera) as well as the Eye Albus Complex – a combination of two plant extracts White Lupine and Alfalfa.
The Texture: It’s kinda like a mousse-cream hybrid. It’s rather fluffy (like melted marshmellow) but spreads rather smoothly. It’s absorbed really quickly without any residue.
The Aftermath: A main concern of mine is always the appearance of millia seeds, and thankfully, this doesn’t cause any of the icky seeds. It helped to plump up the skin slightly, and I also saw an increase in skin radiance. Although it doesn’t do much in terms of banishing those panda / raccoon dark eye circles (which are usually caused by sleeping patterns/internal respiratory issues such as sinuses), the skin did seem slightly more taut after several weeks of use. What I particularly liked about this product is that it upped the hydration levels of the skin, which meant that concealer and makeup sat better without streaking or caking that obviously.
Overall: It’s a pretty decent eye cream that I wouldn’t mind investing in. It has a great texture, quick absorption abilities, and the fact that a little goes a long way puts it up there in my makeup books.
