Review | nuNAAT's Real Me Curl-to-Coil Collection for all Textures of Natural Hair
As my hair grows longer the products that I use are constantly changing as the needs of my hair change. For example, my hair isn't as dry as it was a year ago and sealing my ends has now become even more important as the ends of my hair grow older. I recently had the opportunity to try the new Real Me Curl-to-Coil hair product line by nuNAAT, formulated for all textures but also with naturally kinky and coily hair textures in mind.
I'm all-new to the Nunaat brand and what better way to discover a new product than to try out several from the same line in conjunction with each other. Most products are formulated to work best with other products in that particular line. When searching for new product staples, try a couple of new products from the same line to get maximum results to help determine if you like the product or not.
What I love about the new Curl-to-Coil line is that it is free of sulfates, mineral oils, parabens and sodium chloride, which is a major bonus in my book. It's specially formulated with their exclusive Join Complex®, made up of 5 all natural oils extracted from nuts and berries including Argan oil, Macadamia oil, Avocado oil, Coconut oil and Pracaxi oil and green collagen.

Review | nuNAAT's Real Me Curl-to-Coil Collection for all Textures of Natural Hair
My Thoughts on the Product: I started with the Lather Up & Hydrate Shampoo. The shampoo has a very delicate yet pleasant scent, almost like a baby shampoo or baby lotion. The shampoo lathered up very nicely and was easy to wash out. My hair didn't tangle or become stringy and it didn't leave my hair feeling dry or stripped. It lathered well as claimed and although I can't say it added moisture to my hair, it didn't feel as if it stripped any either so I'm very pleased with the shampoo and look forward to using it several times.
Description: Cleanses and moisturizes multi-textured hair without weighing it down, leaving it silky soft and easier to style. Strengthens hair and maintains a healthy scalp promoting intense shine.
Directions: Apply generously to wet hair and slowly massage scalp. Rinse thoroughly, repeat if necessary. Follow with Real Moisture Conditioner.

Real Me Curl-to-Coil Perfect Do Pomade Review | nuNAAT's Real Me Curl-to-Coil Collection for all Textures of Natural Hair
My Thoughts on the Product: I wasn't sure what to do with this product at first until I realized that it was recommended for edge control. I tried using the Perfect Do Pomade on my edges for a bun, but before I could even get the band around my hair at the top of my head, my edges were frizzing. I added a little more and wrapped a scarf around my hairline but I was also in a hurry so after 20 minutes, I removed the scarf but I still wasn't very pleased with the results. I think the consistency was a little too loose or maybe watery to actually act as a pomade, however I did try using this on a twist-out and had better results. It does have really great hold and gave my twist-out phenomenal definition. I would probably recommend that nuNAAT consider calling this a styler rather than calling it a pomade for edge control.
Description: Tames even the kinkiest of hair textures without weighing it down. Moisturizes for a healthy scalp. Prevents hair breakage and provides smooth edge control.
Directions: Apply a small quantity to control your do, or dab on edges to keep them perfectly in place. Avoid eye contact and keep away from direct sunlight.
Retail Price: $8.98
Real Me Curl-to-Coil Natural Curl Activator Review | nuNAAT's Real Me Curl-to-Coil Collection for all Textures of Natural Hair
My Thoughts on the Product: The Real Me Natural Curl Activator is ideal to use for a wash and go style. I've always used EcoStyler gel for my wash and go's and I love how the gel defines my curls, but  the one thing I despise is the shrinkage that comes with it. With the Nunaat's Curl Activator, my curls were defined and there wasn't nearly as much shrinkage as when using the EcoStyler gel. I believe the difference is because the gel sucks up whatever moisture that may be in my hair and on top of that, it dries crunchy. The Curl Activator by Nunaat does not. It actually added some moisture to my hair and dried softly without the 80 percent shrinkage I get with EcoStyler, I think I achieved about 40 percent shrinkage using this product.

Review | nuNAAT's Real Me Curl-to-Coil Collection for all Textures of Natural Hair Description: Keeps hair hydrated and frizz-free for an extended period of time. Protects hair against harsh environmental conditions and prevents breakage. Ideal for daily use. Directions: Apply to wet hair, style as usual or let hair dry naturally. For best result, use in conjunction with Pick Me Up Sheen and/or Perfect Do Pomade.  Retail Price: $6.98
Real Me Curl-to-Coil Pick Me Up Sheen Review | nuNAAT's Real Me Curl-to-Coil Collection for all Textures of Natural Hair
My Thoughts on the Product: The Real Me Pick Me Up Sheen is the perfect finishing touch to any hair style. The texture is very sleek and helps hair maintain a natural sheen. I like to use the Pick Me Up Sheen as the last step after separating and fluffing my twist-outs, and it gives my hair a nice shine that makes my hair look perfectly hydrated and soft. It also smells great and leaves your hair smelling fresh.
Description: Softens and protects multi-textured hair, leaving it intensely shiny and easy to style. Controls frizz without leaving behind residue. Ideal if used before flat-ironing or blow-drying, or throughout the day to restore vitality. Can be used as a pre-shampoo hair repair, treatment or styler. Directions: As a repair, apply to hair and let stand for several minutes before shampooing. As a treatment, blend a few drops and apply to wet hair for several minutes before rinsing. As a styling product, simply apply, style and allow hair to dry naturally. Retail Price: $12.98
Concluding Thoughts I'm glad I was able to try the Nunaat products, I probably would have never looked twice had I passed them on the shelf. The Lather Up & Hydrate shampoo will definitely become a staple and I'm thinking about adding the Perfect Do Pomade to my arsenal as well. None of the products were heavy on my strands and the company is conscious of the consumer who is looking for quality products without all the nasty toxins and carcinogenic ingredients included. The products are also very affordable even for the struggling college student. Nunaat's Real Me Curl-to-Coil collection is definitely a must-try if you're looking to try new products for your naturally kinky, curly or coily hair at a very comfortable price.
