Review: Lush Latte Lip Tint

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
A few days ago, I posted a little preview of this lip tint.  Well, now it is time for the whole enchilada. I apologize for any cheesy sounding phrases.  I am incredibly exhausted and a little stressed right now.  Okay, back to the post. After trying this out for quite some time, I have to admit that I am not a huge fan.
What They Say:
Lush's website says Latte is "A coffee and icing flavored lip tint with a pale, copper color."   The also used the words "subtler coffee color." Which to be quite honest, I would be horrified if my coffee were this color.

Color
The color is a bit odd to me.  It is actually metallic and makes me think of a penny.  It is not quite that   copper, but it does have a lot of copper in it.  I was hoping for a more toned down look.  I can see where this could work on darker skin tones, but I don't find it flattering against fair skin.  Granted it does not look horrible, but there are far more attractive options out there.

You can see that my lips do look dried out and all of the lines in my lips are accentuated.

Pigment and Texture
This product actually has a lot of pigment.  That color just isn't pretty.  The texture is not that fabulous, either.  When you first apply it, it feels like it is going to be moisturizing.  Unfortunately, that feeling is short lived.  Very short lived.  In about an hour or so, my ljps feel all kinds of chapped and dry.  There is also a slight grainy feel to the product.
Staying Power, Packaging and Price
In regards to the color, the staying power is good.  As far as the moisturizing effects, the staying power is almost non-existent.  Very sad indeed.  It does come in a small, sturdy and convenient tin.  It is easy to through in your bag or pocket.  This and the other lip tints cost $7.25.

What I Think
I do not like this product at all.  I love Lush, but this product doesn't live up to any of its claims.  I don't even smell coffee.  I just get the icing part.
