I say…
The Packaging: A tall, chubby bottle with a pump dispenser (no cap). Now note that this is actually more than your usual cleanser – it’s 230ml (versus the usual range of 100-200ml).
The Scent: A fruity refreshing scent that definitely perks me up whenever I’m using it.
The Application: The lightweight gel froths up easily into a soapy bubbly lather, and rinses away rather easily to leave skin that is not stripped nor “tight”.
The Verdict: Personally, I find this to be a rather mild cleanser – yes it doesn’t leave the skin too taut/stripped dry, but I also do note that certain areas of my face don’t feel as thoroughly cleansed as they should (even with the aid of a Clarisonic). The usual suspects are the corners of the nose, the chin, and the sides of the face that are close to the hairline, and these are also areas that I am finding more blemishes (tiny pimples, black and whiteheads etc). Now this product is targeted at those aged 20-25 (yes, that’s a rather tiny window of years) who have combination skin that’s oily on the surface, but dehydrated beneath. Perhaps those of that age have comparatively less skin issues, such as enlarged pores (that trap more dirt and gunk), fine lines, loss of radiance and firmness etc – alas, youth is awesome. But that also implies (to me at least) that this mild cleanser won’t be enough to address the wide array of skin concerns I have. That aside, this would function well as a gentle cleanser that you can use for a mid-day cleanse during your hermit-at-home days, or on days when you have little or no makeup on. Available at all Laneige stores/counters (i.e. at Tangs).
