Review: Kose Sekkisei White Washing Foam

By Beautifulbuns

So the last facial cleanser I used was like a bad ONS – looked good at first glance, but was weak and didn’t leave me feeling satisfied (not that I do one-night stands hurhurhur). I then switched over to this one in hopes of a more thorough cleanse.

I say…

The Packaging: A fuss-free and functional standing squeezy tube with a flip-top cap.

The Scent: A mild floral scent that’s rather distinctive of Kose products.

The Application/Verdict: It lathers up pretty easily into a rather dense foam. Easily removed with water rinsing, and leaves the skin feeling clean fo’sure. That said, I do note that despite its original write-up that says “skin feels soft and moist”, I actually found my skin feeling slightly dry/stripped of moisture after cleansing – in fact, I most unfortunately found the area around my lips peeling and drier than usual too (with all other factors such as existing skincare range, climate, lifestyle habits remaining constant) – the only thing new to my life was this product, which means I had to attribute the skin dryness to this cleansing foam. Alas, I had to give it up to my dad (who being a typical dude, likes his face feeling squeaky clean). Now to hunt for yet another new cleansing foam – I went from Pixi Beauty’s not-clean-enough, to this Kose’s too-darned-clean.

Pricing & Availability; SGD$35. At major department stores, Watsons, Guardian, 7-elevens.
