Review: Etude House Twin Shot Lips x Tint in Happy Ending x Pink Shot

By Beautifulbuns

Now it’s no secret that I love my lip products, and it’s also no secret I have terribly dry and flakey lips, which makes maintaining luscious lip colours for hours somewhat of an uphill task. But hey, any excuse for me to buy yet another lippie right hurhurhur?

It takes quite a while for the tint to actually flow through to the tip…

… and when it does, there’s no stopping it. meh.

I say…

The Packaging: A long tube measuring about 13cm that has one end unscrew to reveal a spongetip applicator. Click on one end to dispense the tint that comes out through the spongetip.

The Scent: A lovely citrusy fragrance.

The Texture/ Application: Now theoretically this is a feasible idea, and seems fun too! One end has the mousse colour, while the clicky end dispenses the tint into the sponge applicator. You can get 3 colours with just one tube. However, Etude House probably needs to tweak the actual mechanism a bit. The clicking takes forever to dispense the tint – I’d be clicking at least 3-10x before any tint comes out (while waiting, and chatting with my friend, and surfing the net for a minute), and when it does, it’s a major -whoooosh- flood of tint.

The Verdict: Putting aside the issues about the clicking portion not dispensing the tint in sufficient amounts / at an appropriate speed, this lip product is actually pretty decent! One tubes gives you 3 lip colours, and I love, love, love that it stays on for many, many hours! The color is extremely vibrant, and the pigments are superbly intense. The finish is more matte than glossy (especially the darker-coloured tint portion), but it thankfully doesn’t settled into the fine lines of the lips and make it look icky. I actually wore this to an event, and barring minimal drinking, the color actually lasted more than 5 hours  (without looking too dried up).
