So recently I’ve gotten into a mood to clear – I don’t know if this sudden surge of motivation was brought on by the horror story that Tom Hiddleston (him of the Hiddlebum) has been taken (cue sad creastfallen face here) butttt ah well, at least I’m finally making a very concerted effort to bring the makeup stash under control. Here’s one that unfortunately got lost at the bottom of the heap a couple of months back, and has now been brought back to see the light of society~

The Packaging: A lightweight plastic bottle with a frosted smooth finish that comes with a dropper tool attached to the cap. It’s slightly cumbersome, having to extract the dropper and then using it to dispense 1-2 drops and then trying to squeeze it back into the bottle while trying to not spill the 1-2 drops. Although it is indeed hygienic, I’d much prefer a pump system.
The Scent: A very, very slight powdery whiff if you shove your nose right up to the dropper tool and inhale very deeply.
The Texture/ Application: A very lightweight foundation (that’s kinda like a suspension), so you’ll need to shake the bottle a bit before using it. It blends very easily into the skin and has a slight glowy/dewy finish. The coverage is medium, with general skin blemishes being covered up sufficiently enough. However, major blemishes and dark eye circles require the usage of concealer. It does however have a lovely brightening effect, and creates an illusion of smooth skin. Thankfully, there’s no oxidisation or patchiness even after 5-6 hours. Because it’s such a lightweight foundation, I’d expected the oil control to be minimum, and I was right – out came the blotting sheets after 2-3 hours. Dabbing with a tissue sheet removes the shine and sort of “refreshed” the look – it became more matte.
The Verdict: Overall, a surprisingly decent foundation for medium-term / weekend day-out wear. A few drops is all it takes to cover the whole face, which means your money will go a long way. It gives a natural and brightened finish, and doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. Tip: Dab with a sheet of tissue to take away the shine for a more matte /velvety finish.
