Ahh~ I think back fondly upon the days when I first started using blushers – back then, we didn’t have much choice, cos it was mostly powder blushers. These days, the range is much varied, from cream to stick to mousse and even cushion-types. My current blusher is this stick one from 3CE.
3CE Creamy Cheek Stick
I say…
The Packaging: A functional and practical fat round stick that gives a good grip. Twist the bottom to extend the blusher stick. It’s wide enough for you draw two lines (or circles, if you like) across your cheeks, and then just use your fingers to blend it out.
The Scent: Not much scent here.
The Texture: Now I wouldn’t call it particularly creamy, because the word “cream” is more of a malleable texture (think: whipped cream, butter cream, and you get my gist). That aside, this does apply smoothly and blends easily with a finger or a buffing brush. It doesn’t sink into the pores, and sets into a mostly matte finish. It doesn’t streak either, and I daresay most of it was still intact by lunch time.
The Verdict: Like most 3CE color products, this one works well enough – medium pigmentation, good texture, easy blending, idiot-proof packaging. What I like is actually the shade color (surprisingly) – I tend to avoid yellow-based colours (i.e. orange) cos they make me look sallow, but this Sweet Apricot beige actually has a slight tinge of pink (which makes it almost pink-coral), and I loves it! Available from Sephora in Singapore.
