The Revi Karuna Karan (RKK) Memorial Museum of Alappuzha is a perfect example of architectural magnificence. The museum has a lush green lawn with a pond in a shape of a kidney that includes different varieties of water lilies. On the other side is a stunning gazebo with 6 statues made out of Italian marbles. The museum is situated near power house brigade, on the way to the town of Alleppey, along the NH-47 highway. Prodigal Son- Another chief attraction of the museum is a life size statue of the Prodigal Son, which was structured by the world famous Israeli sculptor Sam Philipe. It is a statue made of bronze that weighs around 1400 pounds and is 7 foot high. The statue is related with the biblical parable of the prodigal son, the story of a man who has two sons. The younger son asks for his share of inheritance to his father and goes away and wastes the money. When his fortune is finished, he faces some dire situations and thus realizes his foolishness towards his father.
