Results of My Caviar Manicure

I am really happy with how this manicure turned out.  I am typically "plain" when it comes to my nails and typically just stick with one polish and no nail art (I am horrible at it). But I am trying to get more creative and I am in the process of getting used to the idea of doing something different.  I used the Ciaté Caviar Manicure set in Black Pearls. I tried to do the DIY version, but I could never find any beads that were small enough.  I only added the Caviar Pearls on my index fingers so I could get a feel for how it worked, and I was pressed for time.  I was not a fan of the Paint Pot at first.  The texture seemed a little runny and not thick enough to hold the pearls on.  I had to apply it a little thick, but it worked out and did not look bad once dried.  The drying time was actually quick, even though I let the peals sit for about 15 min.  I applied a top coat to the tips of my nails so they would set.  I used Maybelline's Color Show in Clear for this.  This is a very user friendly manicure and set.  I read some reviews on Sephora, and many people said the pears fall off soon after application. Well, I am well into day two and mine are still on.  Sure, I have lost a few, but nothing like what I had expected.  They still look really good.  And I have not been sitting idle.  I have cooked, washed dishes, fed my dog a few times, typed, showered, cleaned my bathroom, chalked my hair blue (post on that later today), drove put gas in my car, etc..just business as usual.  I expected them to all fall of when I washed my hair, and I think one came loose.  I love this manicure, but I will do it sparingly because I think $25 for this set is insane.  The only reason I got it was because I had some items to return that would cover it.

Taken a day after application.  This hand did not have as many beads as the other, but it is almost impossible for me to get a good pic of my right hand. But you get the idea :)
