After hearing about this supposedly wonderful product for what seems like aeons, Garnier finally brought it to the states. I had a mini-heart attack when I saw it on shelves and I immediately bought it. But not before I spent five minutes deciding if I should get the one with the pink or blue lid. Ultimately, I decided on the pink one and I am not even sure why. But I am happy that I did.
I kind of want to own every micellar water out there because I love the concept behind them and I remember learning about micelles in one of my many science classes in college. To put it simply, a micelle is just a microscopic blob of fat (a lipid). These cleansing waters use the micelles to attract dirt and oil from your skin, leaving it clean and grime free. If your skincare routine is low maintenance, you will definitely want this.
Prior to trying out this cleansing water, I was in love with the Simple Micellar Water. I think the Garnier one is even better. I feel like Garnier's version cleans my skin a little bit better and it certainly does a better job at removing my eye makeup. It removes eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara without any tugging, pulling, or irritation of any kind. I typically use this after working out, in the morning if I am feeling lazy, and to remove makeup before washing with my "real" cleanser.
This is an alcohol free product and it can be used by all skin types. I can vouch for that because my combination/oily skin seems to love it. It lightly hydrates my skin without making it oily.
I also like that you get more product with the Garnier cleansing water. I constantly ran out of the Simple water, but the 13.5 oz of Garnier product is making life a little easier. However, I do wish they would change the cap. It is very easy to waste product because a lot more pours out than what you actually need.
Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water is less than $8 and I have seen it everywhere. If you haven't tried it yet, you need to. It will make rushed mornings a little better for you. Your skin will thank you.
