Project 12 Beer

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Millennial Central for Budweiser. I received a product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Budweiser. Your mind might go somewhere when you hear that brand but it is Scott’s favorite beer. Seriously! Budweiser recently came out with special edition beers, Project 12, named for the zip codes where they were brewed.

I was sent a 12 pack of beer to try with friends along with

  • A slate serving board
  • Six sample glasses
  • A set of linen coasters

The beers:

North Pacific Lager, batch 94534 (Fairfiled, CA): Brewed with a unique blend of North Pacific hop varieties, including Cascade and Palisade, this bold, hoppy lager has a 5.5% ABV and offers a distinct taste of American Northwest

Vanilla Bourbon Cask, Batch 23186 (Williamsburg, VA): Aged on a bed of bourbon barrel staves and vanilla beans, ths light amber lager indulges the sweet side and features a 5.5% ABV.

Beechwood Bock, Batch 43229 (Columbus, OH): Brewed with chocolate and caramel malts for a rich auburn appearance and finished on Beechwood chips for a crisp, clean taste; this deep amber lager has a 6% ABV.

Of the three beers, the Vanilla Bourbon Cask was my favorite. You could taste a hint of vanilla, a bit of sweetness and it was a great color. I was surprised how much I liked this beer! I might admit to being a bit of a beer snob and turn my nose up at Budweiser but if you poured this in a glass and didn’t tell someone what it was, they would never know.

We had people over a Pampered Chef party with a few guys and a house full of women there were a few who wanted to try this. Their thoughts? These were great with a meat and cheese tray, veggies chips, fresh fruit and a few other snacks.

And the North Pacific Lager with olives. Yum! And on a side night, what a difference a few hours makes when taking photos in the winter. Bright and sunny to dark in just 2 hours.
