Towards the end of July, I received a message from Prairie Charms about a blogging contest and the bracelets were on sale for bloggers. The owner was going to feature one of the bloggers that reviewed their bracelet of choice and they would get the chance to design their own set. This sounded like a cool opportunity and I really liked the designs. Once I found out that the deadline was July 31st, I knew I would not be able to participate in Project Blogger because the bracelet was coming from the UK and I live in Atlanta.
I still want to post my review because of the pleasant experience I had, I love the bracelet and I still feel that I should do it because I received the discounted price.
**Update: Project Blogger has been extended until the end of August. I have the link to the site at the end of the post :)
Stephanie, the owner of Prairie Charms, is amazing and very quick to get the order taken care of. I sent her a message on Twitter and in less than 3 min, I already had a response and my bracelet was paid for. She is easy to communicate with and you almost get the feeling that you are talking to a friend. That alone is reason enough to love the company.
Prairie Charms are lovely, handmade bracelets and 10% of the proceeds go to the GOSH (Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital) "Kiss It Better" campaign, which raises money to research causes and treatment of childhood cancer.
I paid around $7 for the bracelet and with shipping, it was $17 total. Very well worth it.
The bracelet I went with is "To The Moon and Back". I loved the simple uniqueness of the bracelet, but I also love the title. I have been a HUGE lover of Darren Hayes since his days in Savage Garden, and "To The Moon and Back" is one of my all time favorite songs. So I had to have this one..had to. This particular bracelet is made of black wooden beads and has a pretty silver charm that is of the steering wheel of a boat. So between the fact that I love the song, love the ocean and the idea of going through a journey of some sort, I feel like this bracelet is actually a reflection of me. Simple, unique and slightly mysterious. The quality of the bracelet is excellent, too. I can see this being part of my daily wardrobe for a long time to come. I also loved the way it was packaged. It was wrapped nicley in black tissue paper and had a white ribbon around it. The bracelet also had a smaller ribbon attached to it. I could not be more pleased with the purchase and the overall experience. I reccommend Prairie Charms 110%.
