One of the places I was looking forward to visit in Osaka (second to Wizarding World of Harry Potter) is the Pokemon Center Osaka.
The center is located in the 13th floor of Daimaru Department Store in Umeda. If you get lost, don’t be afraid to ask questions and if they can’t understand you just reenact Pikachu and say “pika pika”. – they’ll know.. (based on my experience HAHA)
we saw detective conan in the station! errrr I mean his cafeThe center is actually a store and a gaming center for pokemon fanatics!
it has various Pokemon collectibles from cute stuffed toys, backpacks, key chain, printed shirts, socks, spoon, pencils, towels up to marshmallows and Pokemon biscuits.
Just imagine how big our smiles are after seeing all those merchandises and ended up getting three big Pokemon plushies.
including this big Bulbasaur!
Endless amount of plushies in the center!
The original trio! After visiting the center, we went to Umeda Sky Building to see the stunning Osaka from above.
The New Umeda in the nineteenth-tallest building and one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. It consists of two 40-story towers that connect at their two uppermost stories, with bridges and an escalator crossing the wide atrium-like space in the center.
The donut shape roof of the building provides a 360-degree view and lets you roam around while being dragged by the strong wind.
If you get tired and hungry you can visit the Takimi-koji, a replica of a Japanese street in early Showa Period were various restaurants and small souvenir booth that can be found on the first basement floor.
You can also make a quick stop in Umeda Joypolis located in HEP Five Mall (near Osaka Station) to play some video games, crane machines and try the purikura!
