By the way, the packaging for this collection is amazing.
The star of this collection is the eyeshadow palette, which has ten shadows and a highlighter. This is probably the most stunning palette I have in terms of shade selection and how it is put together. It swatches beautifully, but I end up feeling a little underwhelmed when I use it. The shadows feel like a gel/powder hybrid, and a brush doesn't pick up product that well. The best way to apply them is just to use your finger or maybe even a sponge tip applicator. Otherwise, the color payoff will not be good and it can be difficult to build up. I do like that the colors are not so pigmented. It makes them easier to incorporate into daily looks and the shade selection is great for spring. Instead of unicorn vibes, I get fairy vibes when I use this palette.
So far, the Spellbound Rainbow Highlighter is my favorite of the three. It really is a beautiful product. The formula is so smooth and it doesn't accentuate pores or dryness. They are nicely pigmented and they have the perfect amount of shine (no glitter or shimmer particles). I love that you get a combination of colors that are easy to wear and that it isn't a literal rainbow. They did include a light blue, but it is surprisingly easy to pull off.
Last but not least is their Glitter Liner in the shade Rose Gold. If it pertains to the eyes and is called Rose Gold, I HAVE to have it. Unfortunately, this product is a little bit "meh." I like it, but it didn't wow me as much as I had hoped. It is pretty subtle, but the glitter does help add a little extra something to it. It is very metallic and it can be a little bit more challenging to apply compared to your standard liquid liner. It somehow manages to be very runny and thick at the same time. It does stay on all day and I haven't had any issues with it smearing or crumbling. My only issue is that it doesn't show up on me as well as I had hoped.
Left to Right: Liner only, glitter only, both
Wearing the eyeshadow and eyeliner.
This collection is a little bit subpar for me overall. I do love the highlighter and I think I will grow to like the eyeshadow palette. It just isn't quite what I was hoping for. The glitter liner isn't my favorite, but I will continue to use it one way or another. I will keep trying out the eyeshadow palette and do a full review on it this weekend or early next week.
I hope you are having a great week so far!
See you soon!
