Race: Frederick Running Festival
Distance: 5K, Half Marathon
Where: Frederick, MD
When: 1st weekend in May
Reasons given for the recommendation:
This is a great race near DC but with a small town feel. The course has mildly rolling hills and showcases the best of Frederick! The size is just perfect. Big enough that you are never alone but no jockeying for apce to run after the first quarter mile or so. The race organization is top notch!
