The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is basically Christmas in July. Especially if you are a rewards member and get to see all of the stuff early. And there are some pretty great beauty exclusives. I have rounded up some of my favorites and I will divide it up into two posts. I am seriously way too excited about this.
Anniversary Sale Beauty Picks Part 1 by kristen-noel-williford featuring a travel cosmetic
1.) Lorac Skinny Palette $15
Lorac did two skinny palettes last year and they made a big splash. Given the price, Lorac's amazing quality, and the lovely neutrals in this palette, I expect this one will, too. This is a must get for me.
2.) Yves Saint Laurent Rock Resille Couture Palette $60
With it's subtle rosy and neutral shades, this would be a lovely palette to create a romantic, nude eye look. Plus the packaging is beautiful, yet simple.
3.) Guerlain Meteroites Summer Edition $62
I have one thing to say about these: GIVE THEM TO ME! I love the Meteorites because they are such a stunning way to add luminosity and color to the face. They smell incredible and the packaging is always stunning.
4.) Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stain Exclusive Trio $72
In case you haven't noticed, I have a knack for picking out the expensive stuff. I swear it isn't on purpose. In this case you get three full size Glossy Stains and a lovely red bag. I haven't tried one of the glossy stains, so this set is especially appealing.
5.) Beauty Blender Must Have Trio $36
Yet another popular product that is insanely popular that I haven't tried. The trio comes with two Beauty Blenders and the solid cleanser.
6.) M.A.C Look in a Box Pretty Natural Lip Kit $29.50
I got a couple of these last year and I really liked them. For $30, you get a full size lipstick, lip liner, and lip glass. The shades included are Pretty Natural (lipstick), Feeling Fine (lip glass), and the lip liner is Subculture. This is a must have for any lover of a nude lip.
7.) Chanel Travel Makeup Palette $95
This palette has everything you could ever need in a palette: 5 eyeshadows, 5 lip colors, brushes, a blush, and a highlighter. Lets not forget that it is Chanel. As much as I am drawn to this palette, I am leary of it. More often than not, the quality of these kinds of palettes ends up being less than stellar. Even though you get a lot, for $95, I am expecting perfection.
8.) Glam Glow Glamazing Set $69
Glam Glow fans rejoice. This set would be great for fans and newbies, like myself, alike. This set includes a 1.8 oz ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment, 0.53 oz YouthMud Treatment, and three .03 oz BrightMud Eye Treatment.
I definitely will not be getting all of these because a horrible thing called a budget exists. I am still narrowing things down, but it is quite difficult. I actually have a part two of beauty picks. I have not even made it to the clothes and shoes yet. And probably won't. It is all about the beauty.
