New Glarus Brewery

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Spotted Cow is one of my favorite beers and it happens to be made in Wisconsin (and only sold in Wisconsin so I make sure to stock up when I am there). We were headed to visit my friend Vanessa who lives in Milton and figured why not visit New Glarus. We stopped on Friday afternoon and it was packed, I couldn’t believe how full the parking lot was! The 45 degree temps and sunny day had people in the mood to visit the brewery.

They offer a self guided tour (free) and three 3 ounce samples of beer with a glass for $3.50 each. A pretty cheap way to have some fun!

We tried Spotted Cow (my favorite), Two Women, Serendipity (a fruit ale with raspberry, cranberry and apple) and their newest beer, Black Top. I really appreciate that they brew interesting beers and so committed to quality.

I just wish I didn’t have to drive to Wisconsin to get Spotted Cow all the time! But I guess I can live with that if it means they keep making it and brewing new beers.

They brewery is on gorgeous grounds and I can only imagine how packed it is in the summer.
