My New Recipe for Soft Eyelashes~Trial~

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
First of all, I am sorry for the lack of posts over the last week.  I had two interviews, an orientation and family things to do deal with, so I have been pretty slammed.  But I do have a part time job now.
Anyhow, back to the post.  A few days ago, I was on Pinterest and saw this recipe for an eyelash conditioner.  This version had castor oil, aloe vera and vitamin E.  Well, I did not have any castor oil so I whipped up my own mix.  I haven't perfected it yet, so I basically just threw some things together that I thought would be benficial.  So far, it is working very well and maybe I am imagining things, but my lashes are starting to look better after only five applications.  My mom even noticed a difference.
After I try it out some more, I will take pictures of the steps and have more details.   I did this on a whim, but wanted to go ahead and share it with everyone.
Steps:
1.) Find an empty nail polish bottle or tube of mascara.  I had neither, so I used a bottle of top coat that I never use.  I also grabbed a mascara wand.
2.) Clean out the nail polish bottle and mascara wand.  I spent a long time doing this and even let Dawn sit in the bottle over night.  I rinsed it with warm water and dried it out really well.
3.) I poured some grapeseed oil in the bottle.  I poured it about half full.
4.) I added some Cod Liver Oil and mixed it with the grapeseed oil.  I added this because Cod Liver Oil is full of omega 3's and would be good for conditioning/strengthening the lashes.  Same with the grapeseed oil and vitamin E.
5.) I cut the tops off of four vitamin E capsules and mixed it in along with some aloe vera gel.  Apparently the aloe vera gel is supposed to help your lashes grow.
6.) Mix well.
7.) Apply using the mascara wand when you are ready.
I apply this before bed, and in the morning if I am not wearing any makeup for the day.  The mascara wand makes it very easy to apply and none has gotten into my eye.
