I have been trying a ton of new products over the last month. Some of them, especially skincare, still need to be tested out longer. My skin has been giving me fits, so I am trying to get it under control. Since trying out the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, my skin has not quite been the same. But it is on the mend. I do have quite a few products I want to chat about, so sit back and relax.
1.) Burt's Bees Cleansing Oil
This is probably one of the best makeup removers that I have ever used. It is supposed to be for normal to drier skin, but I have found that it is just as amazing for combination-oily skin, too. Reason being that it is very light weight. The texture is almost water-like and it rinses clean without any greasy residue. It removes all my face makeup, too. It does sting my eyes a little, so I usually just use my beloved theBalm Balms Away Eye Makeup Remover.
2.) Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Clay Mask
This is such a fun product! I got this from Memebox a couple of weeks ago and have been loving it ever since. Not only is it effective, it is unique. I have never heard of a bubbling clay mask, and apparently it can also double as a cleanser. My skin always feels smooth and squeaky clean after using it.
3.) Skin Factory 7 Seconds Morning Sheet
This stuff is amazing and absolutely worth all of the hype that you may have heard. I think this is one of the very few Korean products that I have ever heard about. It drastically cuts the time of your morning routine while clarifying and moisturizing your skin. I'll be doing a full review probably tomorrow or Thursday.
4.) Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown
Guys, I am in love with this eyeliner. I'd marry it if I could. I credit the Tattoo Liner with helping me master my wing. The felt tip makes it a cinch to use and the formula is perfect. It is pigmented, opaque, doesn't tug, doesn't smudge, and lasts all day. It is everything you could want in an eyeliner.
5.) Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Mother and Susperia
These shades are part of the newly released shades, and they could not be more stunning. Mother is a beautiful shade for everyday wear if you want to do something less nude and more pink. Susperia is stunning if you want to be a little more bold. The formula is amazing and they last all day.
6.) Sephora Collection Pro Bronzer Brush #48
I LOVE this brush. My mom got two of them when Sephora had them marked down. I mostly use it to apply my setting powder and to blend out my contour, which is does perfectly. The handle is the perfect size. The brush itself is dense, but very soft. It is still on sale for $25, originally $36.
7.) Bath and Body Works Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow Candle
Yes, in some ways I am a "basic" white girl. And society, can we please make that term die? I hate it. I don't actually love the taste of pumpkin, but boy I love anything that has the word in the title. It is basically fall in a candle. You get a nice mix vanilla, and I also get a hint of cinnamon. It really just smells like a cookie, but in a fall kind of way. Yeah....that makes no sense. I suck at describing scents. Just try it. It smells good. It is even man approved.
8.) Morphe 35 U Palette
Like everyone else, I love Morphe eyeshadows. Besides ColourPop, they have the best budget friendly eyeshadows around. This is the palette to get if you want color. I don't use this palette a lot, but I adore it. The pigment is outstanding and you can't beat the quality.
9.) Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Bellini
Sephora had a set including a deluxe sample of the lipstick, lip gloss, and a cute mirror as 250 point reward. The combination of the color and lipstick formulae prompted me to get another one. So I don't have the full size. Bellini is a gorgeous bright pink and the formula of the lipstick is one of the best I have tried. It applies smoothly, it is opaque, and lasts a long time. Good stuff. It is limited edition, so get it while you can!
10.) Rimmel ScandalEyes Mascara
This mascara has been making appearances in a lot of my Instagram posts lately. And for a good reason. It does a great job thickening my lashes without making them clumpy. It also provides a great deal of length, too. Definitely a good budget friendly mascara to try out.
So, those are the products I was obsessed with in August. September is already shaping up to have a lot of favorites, too. I got a lot of products at the end of August I have been liking, but I didn't want to include them just yet as I want to make sure they really do work.
See anything that is a favorite of yours? What were your August favorites?
