I am excited to this post because it means we are one step closer to fall. Although I have heard it is supposed to be warmer than usual, so I am a little bummed about that. Enough about my seasonal preferences and lets just jump right in.
My first favorite of the month is something I have been raving about since I first bought it. I am talking about Butter London's Glazen Eye Gloss in Oil Slick. This eye color is insanely good and unlike anything I have ever tried. It isn't like your traditional cream shadows. This one feels more wet and it has a gel, almost pudding like, texture. It is really easy to use and I cannot say enough great things about it. It is $24 and I got mine at Ulta.
The next product I am a little behind with. People have been raving about the Milani Amore Metallic Lipsticks for a couple of months now. I FINALLY found them at one of my local drugstores. Mattely In Love is the most gorgeous shade of red. The metallic effect is noticeable, but it isn't too intense. It is very comfortable and long wearing. If you see this shade, you must get it. Or get whatever color you like best. They are all nice.
Most people have tried and like Kat Von D's new Lock It Concealer Creme and Setting Powder. I am no exception. The concealer has fantastic coverage and it is pretty easy to blend. It doesn't look heavy and it comes in a huge variety of shades. The setting powder feels soft and it is finely milled. It does a great job of keeping everything in place without looking cakey and accentuating any texture.
Joico was kind enough to send me their Color Therapy Luster Lock K-Pak. I have used a couple of their K-Paks before, but this one is the most effective for my hair. I use it once a week and it makes my hair feel soft and look a lot more shiny. The texture is rich, and it also smells amazing. I will be buying it after I run out of the one they sent me.
I'm not one for powder foundations because I like the coverage of liquids. But, I am very impressed with Maybelline's Super Stay Better Skin Skin-Transforming Powder. It is perfect for everyday because it is quick and it has good coverage, but it still looks very natural. It stays on pretty well, but I do get a little bit oily after a few hours.
I love face masks. I have so many that it is absolutely ridiculous. But after seeing everyone rave about L'Oreal's new Pure Clay Mask, I had to try it out. The Detox and Brighten one does amazing things to your pores. It really gets the gunk out of your pores and as a result, they appear much smaller. I love it.
My current favorite lip color is Spice Girl by Huda Beauty. It is a gorgeous cool toned brown. The formula is pretty good, but it isn't the best I have tried. But the color is perfection. It is one of the few browns I can pull off.
I am sorry for getting this post up a couple of days late, but this week has been something else and I am glad it is almost over with.
I have a couple of review posts coming up and a huge collective haul from Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta, the drugstore, and even Bath and Body Works.
I hope you guys have had a great weekend!
See you soon.
xoxo
