motivation

Now that it’s February and the hype of the January 1st – “I’m going to lose weight this year” is wearing off, it’s a good time to set some new goals to keep you going. Yesterday I read a blog post Shelley wrote about the similarities between losing weight and knitting – it’s a great read – and she has lost 100 pounds and has kept it off! For people who have lost a lot of weight (like the people I’ve interviewed here), once the accomplishment has been made, you kind of have to make newer goals so you don’t fall into bad habits.

My weigh in was yesterday and I lost another 2 pounds, so I am down 10 pounds so far this year!

:)
Yesterday, I talked about my new Koo-Dohz motivational bracelet and it helped me make my goals yesterday. Here are the koo-dohz I did yesterday to get me closer to my goals:

Walked to AND from work – 3.5 miles total (in 20 degree weather!)
Had lots of fruits and veggies
smaller plate for dinner
ate a banana making dinner instead of snacking on chips
drank lots of water
didn’t have any late night snacks

So my new motto is:

SMALL CHANGES – OVER TIME – BIG RESULTS!

Who’s watching Biggest Loser? Any favorites so far? I think this season has been pretty good so far! Did you see the pictures of Pam being taken where she said “Damn Girl!” – she’s a character for sure!

Have a great day! Be back tomorrow!
