Lacquering is an Asian technique in which a coat of lacquer is applied to different types of objects to give a layer of glossy finish. This is a modern version, and it is quite different from the traditional type in which red and black are predominant. It has a very exotic, luxurious feeling to it.
The photos are taken outside in my backyard. I had this crazy idea to have the trees reflected against the laquer in the photos. Seemed that it worked pretty well and gave it a really nice touch.
