Do you want to know what I love even more than Pumpkin Spice?! All things Mint Chocolate! This is definitely the most wonderful time of the year because the stores are suddenly filled with an overwhelming stock of Mint Chocolate everything. I don’t necessarily purchase these items. I don’t trust myself. If I bring them into my home, I would consume every last bite. Luckily I found an amazing treat at Trader Joe’s and it only has three ingredients – Honey, Chocolate Liquor and Oil of Peppermint. These are wonderful for calming a sweet tooth and they are absolutely perfect for Mint Chocolate Bulletproof Coffee!
I’ve definitely been on a recipe kick lately. I find something I like and then I tweak it to make different flavors so that I don’t get bored. My favorite of these has been Bulletproof Coffee. I am so in love with it. I can’t even remember the last time I went to Starbucks. Truth time. I have not had a red cup this season. GASP!
This is too good not to share so here is my recipe for Mint Chocolate Bulletproof Coffee.
All you’ll need is:Coffee, of courseTrader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Honey MintsMilk of you choice GheeCoconut Oil
I start by adding one of the Dark Chocolate Honey Mints to the bottom of my coffee cup.
When the coffee brews it melts the chocolate.
I then pour the coffee and melted chocolate into the blender.Some chocolate may linger in the cup.
Then I add Ghee and Coconut Oil to my mug and put it in the microwave for 40 seconds.(About a spoon full of each)Once it’s melted together I turn the blender on to the grate setting and I slowly add the Ghee and Coconut Oil.
To finish I add milk, usually cashew or almond.
And walah! Delicious homemade and guilt free Mint Chocolate Bulletproof Coffee to get you through the holiday season!
