This is one of the newly released products I was most excited about. These lipsticks are Maybelline's answer to Revlon's Lip Butters and L'Oreal's Colour Caresse lipsticks.
Shades:I picked out three shades since the display was picked over and a lot of the left over tubes had been messed with.Mad for Magenta: sheer magentaPin Up Peach: medium peach with a hint of coralOne Size Fits Pearl: barely there light pink

Pigment and FormulaThese tend to be semi-sheer to very sheer. Mad for Magenta and Pin Up Peach are semi sheer and can be built up. One Size Fits Pearl however is very sheer and adds a subtle touch of sheen. One thing I love about these lippies is that they are lightweight and apply so smoothly. They feel moisturizing upon application and that feeling lasts for about 3 hours on me. After that, my lips start to feel a little dry. The finish is actually quite glossy, too.
Staying PowerThe lasting power is far better than I expected. Since they were so sheer and lightweight, I expected an hour to an hour and a half at best. The actual color starts to wear off after about three hours and to my surprise, it actually stains my lips; especially Mad for Magenta.
Comparison to Revlon Lip Butters and L'Oreal's Colour CaresseI love both the lip butters and the Colour Caresse lipsticks, but I think the Color Whisper line is actually my favorite. They are much lighter in texture than the lip butters and I find the Colour Caresse line to be slightly more drying. I also like the range of colors for Color Whisper better. However, the Colour Caresse does have more pigment and is more of a true lipstick. Plus it stays on a little bit longer. The Color Whispers are more balm like, and have a much more glossy finish than the other two.
Price, Packaging and Where to FindI paid around $7 for these. I have seen them at Target and select WalGreens. FYI, if you are in Georgia and live in the Henry/Spalding/Fayette/Coweta area, the WalGreens in Fayetteville on HWY 85 has all of the newest products, some of which I had never even heard of. On to the packaging. I love it. It is thin and the cap color matches the shade of the lipstick. They are easy to track down in your purse.
Overall ImpressionI am liking these new lipsticks. The lightweight formula is great as is the sheer, yet build-able pigment. They stay on longer than expected and even lips stained. The variety of shades is great, and so is the packaging. The narrow and bright packaging is perfect for throwing in your purse or makeup bag. It is worth picking up a few shades.
