This will probably be my shortest monthly favorites in awhile. I have focused more on using up some of my older products than trying out new products. But I have found some things I have had for awhile and now I realize just how awesome they are.
*Note: I lied. Apparently I realized I loved a lot more things last month. Oops.
I have had the Morphe 35O palette for quite awhile now, but I challenged myself to use it more during May. Now I get what the hype is all about. It has just about every warm toned brown a person could ever need. They blend out well and are just easy to work with.
While we are talking about Morphe, their brushes are the best thing ever. I don't have too many of them, but they have made such a difference in my makeup application. And the best part is how budget friendly they are.
Another brush I have been loving a lot is the Japonesque 213 brush, which is basically just a flat shader brush. It is soft and packs on color very well. It isn't too expensive, but it is a couple of steps up from a drugstore brush.
This has been one of my favorite eyeshadows for quite some time, but I don't think I have mentioned Anastasia Beverly Hiss single shadow in Pink Champagne. It is gorgeous! It looks like liquid metal on the lid, and it goes with a wide variety of shades. I have also rediscovered my love for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam. There are a lot of amazing highlighters on the market, but I keep going back to this palette. I had a recent request to review this palette, so I will get that up ASAP.
I forgot to mention this last month, but the Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash Detangling Hairbrush is one of the best things I ever bought. I have curly, thick hair and most combs are a pain in the butt. Especially since I have to comb my hair while it is wet. This does the job in half the time and it gets all of the tangles out.
Scalisi Skincare was kind enough to send me three of their products (daily exfoliator, eye cream, and anti-aging moisturizer SPF 30) at the beginning of May and I have been using it ever since. I am highly impressed and my skin actually does look better since using these products. I will do a full review in the coming days, but I did want to mention them in this post.
The last beauty favorite is the Lancome Juicy Shaker in Mangoes Wild. This is perfect for summer because it is easy to use, hydrates your lips, and gives them a sheer wash of color.
My last favorite of the month is actually a granola bar. Yes, a granola bar. I got the Sunbelt Bakery Granola Bar in chocolate chip. This was in the Influenster Bloom Vox Box and after I tried it, I promptly bought an entire box. I ate a lot of granola bars in high school and got sick of them This is one of the few that actually taste good and it makes for a great quick breakfast or snack.
What were your favorites for May? I can't believe how quickly this year is going by. It makes me a little sad.
See you soon!
