rise and shine at 230 in the morning to get to the bus to go up to the top of the halekala crater to see the sunrise.
its july and warm on the islands but at 10,000 feet at that early it can be cold and windy. we lucked out and little to no wind so it was around 50 degrees. still in the need for jackets though.

this was something I was really excited to do but was a little disappointed at how crowded it was and of course we were by the rude family that bumped us every chance they could get and were so loud I wanted to sacrifice them to the Pele. so the shots of the sunrise aren't the best but will do for a good memory.
