This cleansing brush is dermatologist-tested and suitable for all skin types, even sensitive and acne-prone skin. It is waterproof, though not recommended to submerge in water and battery-powered {2 AA batteries} and comes with 2 brush heads. As a side note, I honestly don't mind the battery powered feature because I do find it a tad more convenient to pop in 2 batteries rather than lug out a charging station with wires and all {though the latter is really not a big deal as well; just sayin'}. Plus I travel a few times a year {short trips + overseas} so it's great to take this along and not have to worry about international chargers etc.
I like how lightweight it is and how it has a very ergonomic, compact design that does not feel flimsy. Also, when I set it down on the wash basin, it does not roll off {the Philips one does do that quite a bit unfortunately}.
Two speed settings are on hand to do the job - I usually use the slower one all over my face and switch to the faster one when I get to my nose area {them blackheads need lots of exfoliation, I'd say}. I find that both settings are gentle enough, not too harsh yet effective enough to do the job well. It also didn't cause me any breakouts, even after the first usage though I have to mention I do not have generally sensitive skin.

Overall, I can say "yes, checked!" to all except perhaps the softened appearance of lines and wrinkles {most of my lines/wrinkles are under my eyes where the Skinvigorate does not travel to so can't speak for this}.
For comparison's sake, while I would say the Philips one is sleek, modern and very fancy, I will tell you that this Mary Kay Skinvigorate is prettay awesome in its own ways. It is simple, unassuming, easy to use, does the job well and best of all, it's one of the most affordable ones in the market. If you want to hop on the bandwagon of cleansing brushes, the Skinvigorate would be the way to go.
