A rather unusual alternative to toothpaste are the Lush Sparkle Toothy Tabs. These solid tablets are bursting full of citrus and peppery flavours and have been designed to give whiter and more sparkly gnashers.

One toothy tab is all you need to brush your teeth. It foams up when you you chew the tab with your front teeth, and then you can brush your teeth as normal. Filled with bicarbonate of soda, citrus oils and pepper, your mouth will become fresher and teeth will whiten with continuous use. I have noticed some whitening which is good.

It is unusual brushing my teeth without the usual or fresh minty taste, so I always feel compelled to use mouth wash afterwards. Those sensitive to pepper may find their mouth begins to tingle when using these toothy tabs, but I was more taken aback by the rather intense lemon-y flavor. As toothy tabs have no water in them I do find they dry my mouth out enormously, but food doesn’t taste as horrible as it does when you eat after cleaning your teeth with normal minty toothpaste.

They are vegan and the packaging is completely recyclable. The ingredients are natural too but I think I might try a different flavor next time; possibly a more minty one so my mouth feels more fresh and cleansed. They aren’t too bad for £2.50, but I’d rather use normal toothpaste.
