Loving This Month / Sept 2015

By Makemeupmandy @mandywebb28

It’s been a while since I did a favourites post and definitely been a good few months since I swore off lots of food, products and anything that emits a scent (pregnancy hormones – are you sick of me repeating that already?)

I have felt so much better the last month and now feel myself again so I have been back to trying out different products and enjoying my favourites. You wouldn’t believe but the mere scent of my husband’s or the kids’ shampoo would send me into a nauseated state. I’m just really glad that’s all over now and my favorite vanilla and fresh linen scents smell like themselves instead of garbage. I still shudder at the memory.

Zoeva make up brushes innoxa maybelline nars moogoo

Innoxa Gentle Cleansing Gel // I love cleansing gels – it’s pretty much the only type of cleanser I use regularly. I like my cleansing oils but don’t use them as much whereas cleansing foams I avoid like the plague. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like this cleansing gel and I love its light citrus and Lavender scent. It is 88.44% organic with no sulphates, mineral oils, silicones, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or TEA’s in the formulation. Paraben free and vegan friendly, its affordability just makes it even more loveable.

MooGoo Shea Sorbet Balm // Hurray for citrusy scents – this line scent is a huge favorite with me and Miss 3. Formulated specially for cracker heels, hands and lips, this Shea Sorbet butter balm is also my favorite because it does not leave behind a greasy residue. Bonus that it feels exactly like sorbet when you swirl your fingers in the pot when applying. I’m trying out a range of their products and am loving it so far – a more detailed brand focus post is soon to come.

maybelline lots of lashes mascara

Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara // I bought this mascara solely for the tiny wand and I am pleased to say it definitely meets my expectations. The pointy tip helps to reach lashes in the tricky corners, perfect for my short lashes and smaller eyes. You’ll love it if you’re looking for a smaller wand for your lower lashes too. Those dreadful mascara accidents that seem to ruin the very last stages of make up have become extremely rare of late – definitely worth a try.

NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien // Another forgotten gem, I recently rediscovered this lip crayon. My favorite lip crayon has got to be the Clinique Chubby Sticks but this one ranks really highly in my books. It applies so smoothly, blends beautifully on dry lips and leaves such a nice long lasting stain after the initial sheen wears off (about 3 hours for me).

zoeva make up eye brushes

Zoeva Complete Eye Brush Set // I got these Zoeva brushes way back in February but they sat untouched in their packaging for months. How is that possible? I went from counting the days to receiving them to having zero interest in them with my body not cooperating. I finally used them in the last couple of months and I am in love. This is the first time I like every single brush in a set and use every single one daily. It is a really useful set and is really all you need for eye make up especially on your travels.

What have been your favourites this month?
