Pigment and Texture
The pigment is wonderful. The mattes are a little less pigmented, but still great and not chalky. They are probably the best matte shades I have ever tried. You need only to lightly touch the pan to get any product on your brush. These shadows can be a bit powdery, but I have not had any problems with fall out. They are also very smooth and buttery. The texture is like that of theBalm.
Staying Power
When used with the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer (deluxe sample included with the palette), they stay on all day. I did use the palette with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and they faded a little by the end of the day. In botth cases, I experienced no creasing.
Packaging
I love the packaging of this palette. It is not big and bulky, but very sleek and compact. The design is simple and the focus is on the quality of the shadows.
Price and Where to Find
For $42, you get 16 shadows and a deluxe sample of Behind The Scenes primer, which will last a good while. You can find this at Sephora, Ulta and Lorac's site.
Overall Impression
Love it! I would say it is the best quality palette I own, even over my beloved Urban Decay and theBalm palettes. It is a very versatile palette and it is nice to have a plalette that has an equal number of of matte and shimmer shades. That is a rare find. For the quality and number of shades, it is well worth the $42.00 This is only the third Lorac product I have tried, but the brand keeps on impressing me. I also really reccommend the primer. I like it even better than Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
I am going to post some different looks over the next few days using this palette, so stay tuned =)
