Summary:
Look what little treat just popped through my door! A week or so ago, Stylist magazine gave readers the opportunity to win their own sample of Le Volume de Chanel. Fortunately I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these luxurious mascara. I’ve already given it a go and wow am I impressed!
I haven’t tried many ‘designer’ products so I was expecting a difference in quality between this mascara and one from the high street, and there honestly is. The above image is from one coat of Le Volume de Chanel. This is a high-impact mascara with a comb-style brush. It’s designed for volume which it achieves with minimal effort because it’s incredibly smooth and applies exceptionally well. Without a lump in sight, this mascara is a beauty-lovers dream.
I like that this mascara is a deep black which is great for a more intense look, matching that of the packaging it comes with. Effortlessly understated, this mascara sample came in a small glossy black box with a mirror and the mascara inside, with a matching sleeve. The mascara itself follows suit in a simple and plain tube, although this is highly beneficial in my opinion because I can’t help but think that a decorative tube is representative of a rubbish mascara.
The mascara itself is quite wet so it does coat very well and evenly, resulting in volumised and very lengthened eyelashes. So much so I can feel my eyelashes tickle my eyelids when I look up. I haven’t felt the need to apply a second coat so I don’t know how well it will apply on the second application. It’s all been a huge thumbs up so far, so the only thing that I thought my put me off was the price, but it’s only £24 for 10ml. That means they’re only about £1 than if Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’ was the same size! Fabulous!
