I started this 90 Day Challenge with more than a bit of skepticism. I was already exercising and Kenin and I were already making an effort to change our diet and get healthy. I exercised almost every day for a month and lowered my calorie intake and I didn’t lose any weight.
Staring the 90 Challenge
I have struggled for years with a thyroid issue, and it has affected my weight greatly. Ken and I decided to do this 90 Day Challenge and broadcast it to all of our friends and family. They have been wonderful and they keep my fat butt in check.
After a week of doing this meal replacement/shake challenge, I am down 6 pounds. I looked at the scale this morning and almost fainted. That can’t all be water weight. I have still been exercising almost every day and I am eating healthy meals with lots of veggies for vitamins.
Now about the shakes, I have to admit that when I drink them, I feel like I am cheating on this whole diet thing. I love milk!!! This is not an understatement. I love the stuff, and when I can mix in cake flavored shake mix into milk, it puts my into a state of pure ecstasy. Kenin doesn’t care for milk, so this is a bit more difficult for him. For me however, it has been pretty easy. The mix tastes great and I can even add mix-in flavors if I get bored of the cake mix taste (not likely). The mix-ins come in chocolate, peach, strawberry, banana, and orange.
Shake, shake,shake!
6 pounds!!! I am so incredibly happy about this. I am going to get my (slightly less fat) butt off the sofa today and get some exercise. This is just the motivation I needed to start this challenge off on the right foot. I am going to put my skepticism in the closet, pull out my running shoes, chug a shake, and get moving. Get off the couch and move with us On The Road To Fit!
