This lip kit comes in beautiful silver packaging complete with a bow. It also doubles as an ornament for your Christmas tree. Vixen is a blackened plum. It is basically the definition of a vampy lip color.
One layer
Two layers.
Like the other two liquid lipsticks I have tried, it has a thin, almost watery, consistency. The pigment is good, but you will need two layers to reach full opacity. That is with the lip liner underneath. It actually doesn't feel drying at all, which is impressive. However, my lips look absolutely parched in a few hours. The wear time isn't that good, either. After a few hours, I notice that the color at the center of my lips already looks worn and it is flaking off. It is pretty easy to apply, but it is very patchy. It also never dries down 100%, and it does transfer a pretty good bit.
Liner and liquid lipstick
Now for the lip liner. The consistency of the lip liner is pretty good. It is creamy, but it does tug just a little bit. It is not 100% opaque, so you have to pair it with a similar color. It doesn't seem to enhance the wear time or boost the color payoff of the liquid lipstick. I guess you could say it is almost useless. I hate to sound so harsh, but that is how my experience has been with it.
Lip liner only.
The packaging is gorgeous. Everything is silver and it is festive. This lip kit is $30 and you get a 0.11 oz liquid lipstick and 0.03 oz liner. I don't recommend this one. From my experience, her vampy colors are not that great. However, the lighter colors are a lot better. That being said, I will still wear it. It is a gorgeous color and I can't think of anything similar in my collection. I just won't be wearing it for more than four hours.
