June 2014 Favorites

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
It has been a few months since I have done a favorites post.  In June, I used quite a few products that I am very excited about and cannot wait to blab about.
1.) My Little Collection of MAC Eyeshadows
I achieved a big beauty milestone in June: I finally purchased MAC products.  I am a little late on the MAC bandwagon because I get sick of constantly hearing about their new collections, which a lot of times have sub-par quality.  But once I saw that their core collection eyeshadows were quite nice, I needed to get some.  And I am so very happy that I did.  I have Sable, Saddle, Coppering, Expensive Pink, and Satin Taupe so far.

2.) MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick in Red Balloon
This was an impulse buy if there ever was one.  I picked up this beauty when I got my first eyeshadows.  This is by far the most complimented lipstick in my collection.  It the most perfect blend of pink and red.  It is a stunning, vibrant shade, but it is also one that can be worn during the day for a pop of color.  This shade was part of the Playland Collection, so I am unsure if you can still get it.  If you can find it, it is worth picking up.

3.) Softlips Cube Lip Balm
This thing is WAY better than EoS! And the ice cube like packaging is beyond cool (pun intended).  The overall quality is just better. EoS never moisturized my lips,  but the Softlips Cube does.  And it works as a treatment, so the more you use it, the better your lips feel.  This thing goes everywhere with me and it is always within arms reach.

4.) It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol 1 Palette
I've never been a huge fan of matte eyeshadows, but I adore this palette.  It is capable of being subtle, or dramatic and smoky.  I also love that they included a transforming pearl shade in case you wanted to add some shimmer.  Even though it is pricey, it is one to pick up if you get the chance.
June 2014 Favorites5.)  Dickinson's Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner
Other than Clinique's Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion (LOVE!), this is the only toner I have ever used and it is splendid.  It is gentle, but so very effective at balancing your skin and removing left over traces of makeup.  I use Clinique's Clarifying Lotion during freak acne flare ups and switch to this when my skin calms back down.  I would label this a must have.  It is cheap and can be found at drugstores and Wal-Mart.
June 2014 Favorites6.) Tarte Amazonian Clay Volumizing Eye Powder in Grey
This is the best brow product I have used to date.  I was terrified of the shade until I read a review on Vampy Varnish and I haven't looked back.  Grey is the perfect shade as it isn't too dark and it does a great job at filling in sparse areas.  Plus it stays put all day long.  Truly a wonderful product. Plus it comes in a cute, sturdy compact with a mirror.
