John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo and Conditioner

I bought these travel-sized John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo and Conditioner before going away, and they worked a treat!

Firstly, the smell of the shampoo and conditioner is really nice. It’s that awesome luxurious smell when you get your hair cut but don’t seem to be able to replicate at home. It’s also the resulting effect that’s salon quality – the volume!

Now, I’ve tried a LOT of shampoos and conditioners which promise instantly volume, shine and soft hair. Few have delivered this. John Freida’s Luxurious Volume is definitely an exception! I used the 50ml bottles on holiday and, on the first hair wash, I noticed that there wasn’t a hairdryer in my hotel room. I typically get volume by heat styling so I didn’t hold up much hope for the shampoo and conditioner working with a quick towel dry.

I left my damp hair to dry naturally, noticing the amazing smell every time I moved. I was amazed that an hour later my hair had so much volume and felt so soft! It looked shiny, healthy and cared-for, despite little styling effort on my part. The shampoo and conditioner worked just as well on the next use, but the results when using a hair dryer are amazing. I wanted volume, and boy did I get it! My hair was easy to handle, it looked good and it smelt lush. The volume lasted all day and into the next day too. Not a limp hair in sight!

Now, the only drawback for me is the price. For 250ml, each bottle is £5.99. It’s not salon prices, but it’s certainly more than Herbal Essences, Tresemme, etc, but the result is truly unbeatable. If you’re unsure, do what I did and buy the travel-sized versions first. Simple!
