Some people may disagree with this, but I believe that a fair percentage of people who are overweight, are desperate/lazy. Those people will most likely sign up for a diet where they are given shakes or pills, rather than making the physical effort of eating healthy and exercising regularly. But....is there a magic pill? Here's the answer - NO!
There are many CON diets out there that are designed purely to line the pockets of companies with your cash. Some may work for the short term - i.e. - starve yourself, drop weight (including muscle and water loss!) and then as soon as you start eating real food again, the weight comes back. So, is that what you would call 'working'? I certainly wouldn't. But the people who sold you that diet have probably recently bought a new car and a huge house! (I'm sure they will send a thank you card...)
There is no 'magic pill', no 'one thing' that will drop your body fat and give you the body of your dreams. You need to put in the hard work to change your lifestyle. By doing that you will be able to do that for the long term, to have a body you are happy with and that isn't going to go away once you 'finish' because there is no end date to having a healthy lifestyle.
I understand that some people are desperate to lose weight and 'cure' their food addiction, and these adverts that promise people so much, draw them in. I completely understand, BUT you can lose weight, you can be happy, you can be confident, you just have to be willing to work hard. Does a newly qualified lawyer jump into a million pounds a year job? no.... they have to work their ass off to build their career, work their way up that ladder, and then after all that hard grafting they can reach their goals. Its the same with weight - put the hard work in, and you WILL have a body you are happy with. Stop wasting time and money on these con diets that are designed purely for financial benefit to those who invented them.
Start with a healthy eating plan and regular exercise, and if you put the hard work in, you will see results - results that last!
