The process of Gel polishes are applied like a normal polish but the consistency is slightly thicker, it requires a UV lamp which is used to help cure the polish and doesn't take that long to do. What I love about them is that it lasts up to 2-3 weeks, doesn't chip and the shine lasts within this duration. I've just had a set removed and now I regret it as my nails started to chip :( So, if you have a problem with finding that a nail strengthener doesn't help you grow out your nails naturally; get your hands on gel polishes because it works great doing this! I need to get a new set ASAP >_<
