Two students are trying to cheat by looking up answers to the assigned reading on Google rather than, you know, reading the assigned reading. (Curious to see how this plays out, I do not tell them that I created the assignment almost entirely out of my own brain, lessening the chances that Google will reveal exact answers.)
One of them finds a source. He shows the other.
“Man, is that Yahoo Answers? You know that’s, like, one of the stupidest places on the Internet, right? Like, if they tell you that the sun came up this morning, you stick your head out the window and double check that shit.”
With respect to the last line, I have stated as much — minus the expletive — with the identical example, several times in class.
