February, 19 2014~  Nestle is voluntarily recalling two of its Hot Pockets products as part of a huge meat recall.

The food company explained Tuesday that it is recalling its “Philly Cheese Steak” and its “Croissant Crusting Philly Meal and Cheese” Hot Pockets, in the two pack box which were distributed nation wide.

Nestle says some of their products may have been affected with a meat hot pockets recall  announced a week ago by Rancho Providing Corp.

Rancho is actually recalling a lot more than 8. 7 million lbs of beef goods after health authorities said that it processed diseased and infected animals that weren’t fully and properly inspected.  The USDA says these products were unfit for human consumption.

So far, no illnesses have been reported through out the states.

Nestle says that a small quantity of meat from Rancho ended up being used at a California production facility which makes Hot Pockets in the two pack box.

For the exact batch code please check Nestle’s Press release

Here is what Nestle advises you to do in the event you purchased these products:

Consumers who may have purchased the affected batches of HOT POCKETS® brand Philly Steak and Cheese should not consume the product, but instead should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or contact Nestlé Consumer Services at (800) 392-4057.

USDA notes that no illnesses have been reported in relation to the Rancho Feeding Recall.
