Hell of a Road Trip

Yep it has literally been hell! We (mum, me and the girls) have been on the road for almost a week now. We can only manage about 4 hours a day in the car before the girls start their scream-a-thon. Mississippi to Washington DC is a LONG WAY. But so far it's been worth it, we lodged the girls passport applications at the Australian embassy today. Warms my heart to know I have little Aussies now . But yes we still are in DC and need to make it back home, this time via Charleston and Savannah.
Trip highlights thus far:
Big C peeing in the car seat and in two separate hotel beds
Paying thru the nose for a motel room in the middle of nowhere that plumbing leaked everywhere and beds were bouncier than a trampoline
Watching my mom each a 1/2 rack of ribs that were the size of a race horse
Red neck restaurant selling sweet tea by the gallon- $2.99 what a steal!
Having to drink beer in the dark after the girls go to bed - my only me time!
And of course little C who fished out someone's nugget (yes I mean poo) out of a public loo.
Always kept on my toes. Who knows what the next 5 days will bring!
