Happy Chinese New Year! On Friday the 31st January 2014 we welcomed in the year of the horse in Chinatown, London.
The area around Leicester Square was filled with red and gold decorations, and the streets were heaving with activity. Delicious smells were wafting from the surrounding from the numerous Chinese restaurants, bringing in 15 days of celebration .
I spotted these decorated cakes with Hello Kitty’s and pandas; an ideal treat for young people during the Chinese New Year.
A friend of mine in Hong Kong sent me a letter with a Chinese New Year decoration. It hopes the recipient has their wishes come true. So nice!
