I have to grudgingly admit that my obsession with highlighters has died down significantly from the times I’d buy 5 highlighters at one shot. But guess what, I’ve found another highlighter that has gotten me all excited again!
Guerlain Meteorites Perles 01 Teint Rose – SGD73
I say…
- First of all, I love the limited edition white fireworks tin can packaging.
- You’ll need to gently pry the top of the tin open with your fingertips, where you’ll find a sponge conveniently placed to stop all the beads / balls / pearls from falling out.
- Besides keeping the balls in place, you could use the sponge to apply the powder to your face if you don’t have a brush on hand. However, you might get an unevenly applied finish with some powder clumping or caking. Instead, I prefer to use a large powder brush to dust lightly over my face.
- I also use the same large powder brush to pick up the powder from the tin – I stir my brush around and around, muttering “double, double, toil and trouble” (or not), and it eventually picks up enough for my face.
- The pearls smell superrrr fragrant and I love the signature Guerlain Meteorites scent.
- The finish is extremely subtle – to get the sheen you see in the above photos, I had to dust on so many layers.
- Otherwise, what you get is a very natural glow to your face.
- In fact, you can barely see any powder grains even though there’s a glow. Naise.
- Apply it to your cheeks and forehead for that dewy Kpop star look. I wouldn’t use this for nose bridge cos I prefer something with more glow, like the 3CE 3 Concept Eyes Highlight Beam.
- It barely cakes and doesn’t settle into the pores, which is pretty admirable.
- I also like that it barely oxidises after several hours of wear.
I now see why Guerlain Meteorites is one of the brand’s top-selling products and why they’re so renowned for it. Go forth and buy your very own balls nowwwww.
