Growing organic radishes is fairly easy, specially in the summer and fall months. You can grow them in a garden in bed, in a container or pretty much anywhere as long as they get full sun and are watered often.
In order to maximize space in my small organic garden, I oftentimes plant them in a circle just so I can save space I do the same for other vegetables like scallions.
Radishes are a good source of Iodine, serve the same purpose as dandelion root; to help detox the liver. As an added bonus it protects your DNA from radiation. I juice, add to salads and eat them raw with a dash a himalayan salt. Additionally, radishes have a decent amount of iodine to help the thyroid do its job, detox and liver, and prevent breast cancer.
Thanks for sharing and reading! Looking forward to connecting with other fellow gardeners and of course those of you also wanting to learn how to garden. By the way, if you have any questions or comments I have created the brand new forum “healing with an organic garden” for all of us to exchange ideas, ask questions and much more. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Do you love or dislike radishes? What is your favorite way of enjoying radishes?
