I have tried matte nail polishes and also plenty of glittery ones in my time, but never have I found a polish which is both matte and glittery. That was until I found the Gosh Glittery Matt Frosted Sand Look nail lacquer in 02 Frosted Gold. A little bit of a mouthful, but an interesting result!

It’s not clear from the image, but this Gosh nail lacquer coats nail is what I can only describe as matte gold sand with glittery bits in it. It doesn’t sound particularly appealing, but it looks pretty cool, and surprisingly subtle. And the great thing is that one coat is sufficient, but two coats does look bolder and lasts long. The nail polish glides on smoothly but feels rough when it dries; rather similar to actually having sand on your nails.

I do find that my nails catch on things because the polish is textured and that results in the nail polish chipping quite quickly, especially so with just one coat. Unfortunately using top coat makes the matte polish shiny which defeats the whole concept of the Gosh Matt Glitter nil lacquer.

I’m not expecting a great deal from this polish as it’s only £3.99, and it does do what it says on the label. It’s matte polish which looks like frosted sand with glitter in it. It’s quite nice for the festive season, but it’s not a polish I’d wear everyday. Especially as it does chip so quickly and easily.
