I received this Gosh Cosmetics by E. Tjellesen – Velvet Touch Lipstick in shade 148 Sundown in my November 2013 Glossybox. I’ve never really worn lipstick but I liked the slightly orangey tinge in the red which makes it seem less bold than deeper reds.

The Gosh lipstick glides well and applies quickly and easily, and very smoothly too. There’s absolutely no tugging or crumbling. The color isn’t as bold or as intense as some other creamier and more highly pigmented lipsticks, instead looking more like a heavily tinted balm.

The Gosh Velvet Touch lipstick is certainly more oily than creamy, but it doesn’t feel particularly velvety as the product name would suggest. It does have Vitamin E in it though so at least it softens and nourishes lips when it’s in use, but I’ve found that the lipstick dries out within 10 minutes and wipes off too easily. It certainly can’t withstand a meal but it’s simple enough to top it up. As I don’t wear lipstick often I’m unsure if this is normal, but I just find it hassle.

The lipstick is £6.49 and can be bought from Superdrug so it isn’t hugely expensive. It’s a nice burst of color I wouldn’t otherwise have, and it’s good for experimentation, but I doubt I’ll wear it that often.
