Glossybox-May-2014

Glossybox have teamed up with Superdrug and filled the box full of goodies found in store! I think this box is great, and it’s fab to have a box full of affordable and varied products I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

Let’s face it though, that magazine cover is naff. The girl is orange with horrid hair, terrible make up and hideous eye lashes. I can see that they’re trying to go for the 50 years ago look, but I don’t think it works.

And here’s the box! A really good mixture, and every product is available to buy at Superdrug. The first product is a full-sized Max Factor Facefinity primer. It’s £10.99 which is most than the whole box costs. Amazing!

Glossybox-May-2014-Collection-Bronze-Glow-Mosaic

I don’t usually wear bronzer, but this Collection Bronze Glow Mosaic has such a nice warm glow. It’s more shimmery than it is orange. You can get your own sun-kissed glow for £2.99.

Glossybox-May-2014-Garnier-Oil-Beauty

I don’t mind that the Garnier Oil Beauty Nourishing Lotion is a sample. It smells great, it feels nice and it’s a product I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. A full 250ml costs £4.99 which is very reasonable.

Glossybox-May-2014-Scholl-Velvet-Smooth-Night-Mask

The Scholl Night Mask for feet doesn’t really scream luxury, but it’s useful for sandal season. I haven’t tried it out so can’t comment on how it works, but it’s a nice idea that requires little effort, and that’s how beauty should be! This 60ml tube is worth £7.99.

Glossybox-May-2014-Schwarzkopd-Essence-Ultime-Conditioner

I really like trying out different shampoos and conditioners, especially when they promise something I don’t have – ie, volume, shine, sleek hair etc. This is a great full-sized bottle of Schwarzkopf Crystal Shine Conditioner which has developed by Claudia Schiffer. It smells nice, but so far I haven’t noticed any different in turns of shine. You can try it for yourself though for £2.99.

Glossybox-May-2014-Ghost-Perfume

This is another little sample of Ghost Eclipse perfume. It’s a fresh citrus scent. It’s not particularly feminine although it’s a pleasant change. I doubt I’ll be buying a full-sized version though.

Glossybox-May-2014-B-Lipbalm

I’ve tried B’s nail polish and pressed powder foundation so I’m already quite familiar with this brand. I tend not to wear lipsticks, but this Sheer Conditioning Lipstick is a nice orangey-red colour, in shade Coral 33. It’s not highly pigmented so it’s more like wearing a tinted lip balm. I prefer this. This is a full-sized product which costs £6.99.

So overall, a great Glossybox filled with full-sized items! I like the extra 2 samples that have been popped into the box, and how versatile all of the products are. I think it’s good that they are all well-known brands which I can easily buy again. They’re all affordable too. I was so close to cancelling my Glossybox subscription, but I might try it for another month to see how it fares. You can get your own box here.
